80. Make a weekly budget limit and do not overspend on 25 weeks

It was a super close call; I almost didn't make it. Once I finally settled on a budget (at the start of 2018) it was tough to meet it 25 weeks out of the first half of the year. But I did it!

It felt wonderful during those weeks when my credit card bill was low.I failed so many times during these 1001 days until I found the right methods and right dollar amount. Now that I've figured it out, I definitely want to keep up the good work!

44. Attend another Celtic/Scottish Festival

I used to go to several celtic festivals a year. I haven't been to a big one in ages, and I really miss them. They always speak to a very specific part of my heart, and I wanted to get that back. So I put it on my list. The festivals that used to be my favorite don't run any more, so I had to go hunting for new ones. The timing didn't seem right to me, but I finally found one on a day when I'm free in a place not too far from home. Turns out it was possibly the best Celtic festival I've ever been to (if not the best, it ranks right up there).

I had such a good time enjoying all the different elements--music, dancing, piping, highland games, dogs, crafts, living history, scones, fencing demos, clan tents, car show, and so much more!

75. Set up a permanent “donation box” in the house

It took me a while to figure out where to put this box. I want it to go in another room, but there isn't space for it there at the moment. So it's right where the donation boxes I had were sitting. There's a cardboard box inside this large tub, that way I can just lift the cardbox box out and donate it.

24. Read all of the wrapped books

I finished Murder with Peacocks today. The mystery series came highly recommended, and it was a mostly fun read. It dragged a bit with so much wedding detail, but the characters were great. I didn't guess the murderer until a couple pages before the reveal, which I feel silly about now in hindsight. Really should have figured that one out. Not sure if I'll continue on with the series.

I unwrapped the next book, which was Howl's Moving Castle. I read that a while ago, forgetting that it was a wrapped book. I adored the book! It was charming and magical and so much fun. So glad I finally read it.
